When they told me,
I’d be gone,

I sat in my room,
Locked away like the plague ridden son,

I truly was.

Sitting by the clock,
Counting the seconds then minutes and hours,

Time blossoming,
Like a blood red flower,

The thorns pricking me.

But the time flowed like an endless river,
Getting closer and coming hither,

They came.
